Police: Mission shop robbery an inside job

An armed robbery at a Mission district business Monday morning appears to have been an inside job, police said.

An employee of a business in the 2700 block of Mission Street was arrested after cops discovered she was in cahoots with the masked crook that stormed in toting a knife and fled with “a large sum of money” about 8 a.m., police said.

The employee, a 19-year-old woman, and the suspect, an 18-year-old man, were taken into custody by responding officers.

The money was recovered, police said.

Further information was not immediately available.
