Pedestrian seriously injured in Bayview collision 

A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries when a vehicle in San Francisco's Bayview district struck him Saturday evening, according to a police spokesman.

At about 6:40 p.m., police and emergency medical personnel responded to a report that a vehicle struck a man on Hudson Avenue near Rueul Court, San Francisco police Officer Albie Esparza said.

Both the pedestrian and the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, located about one block south of Youngblood-Coleman Playground, Esparza said.

The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Esparza. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, Esparza said.
