Ohlone chief demands apology at Crissy Field

On Monday, Ohlone Chief Tony Cerda of the Rusmen Carmel Tribe held a ceremony at Crissy Field, the ancient ancestral land of the Ohlone. During the event, Cerda read aloud from a letter to King Juan Carlos I of Spain and Pope Francis, asking them for the chance to buy back his people’s native land and demanding an apology for past injustices.
