Official takes wrong turn in making point about US cars 

To set a good example of support for American workers, U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis traded her standard black limo for a new Chevrolet Equinox to ride around Washington, D.C. However, she was soon embarrassed to learn that America’s second-fastest-selling SUV crossover is entirely assembled in Canada. A Labor Department spokesman offered the excuse that “automobile manufacturing is a global industry” and “66 percent of its parts were made in America.”
