North Beach residents win Muni bus stop competition organized by Yahoo

Either Muni service is really slow in the North Beach area, or local residents are experts at playing video games.

After two months of competition, residents of The City’s northeastern neighborhood won the “Bus Stop Derby,” a promotion organized by Yahoo that allowed waiting Muni passengers to play video games against fellow riders at the agency’s bus shelters.

By virtue of its victory, North Beach will be treated to a free performance by rockers Ok Go at the San Francisco Art Institute’s headquarters on 800 Chestnut Street. The show will start at 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 5.
