  • A report by Comcast SportsNet Bay Area says 49ers tight end Vernon Davis is seeking a new contract.

Add 49ers tight end Vernon Davis as a player who is reportedly unhappy with his current contract.

According to a report by Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, Davis isn't participating in the team's voluntary offseason program because he is unhappy with his current deal, which has two years remaining on it. Davis is scheduled to earn $5.3 million next year.

It was previously reported that Niners offensive lineman Alex Boone is also seeking a new deal and has skipped workouts to date.

The 49ers' first mandatory minicamp is June 17-19. Davis and Boone can be fined if they elect to skip those practice sessions.

NOTE: The 49ers signed center Marcus Martin, one of their three third-round draft picks, to a four-year deal. All 12 of the 49ers' draft picks are now signed. -- Staff report
