New York may be less hostile for head of Muni

The Examiner predicts what The City’s leaders, losers, and movers and shakers want from Santa.

Who: Nathaniel Ford

What: A job in New York

Why: The rumor mill is churning again that the head of Muni is looking to leave The City for the Big Apple, the latest in a string of departure talks. Ford has had to deal with a mayor who threatened his job over the success of a bike-sharing program and has been hammered from every political angle about the on-time woes of Muni. Every San Franciscan who has stood out in the rain waiting for a late bus might want to chime in for a reference to New York, too.
