The fiend was “nervous and sweating on a rainy day,” police said.
According to cops, that indicated crack was probably involved in the case of a van that sped up to 50 mph on San Francisco’s streets Tuesday, and recklessly barreled through a crosswalk filled with people, including mothers pushing strollers.
The van was pulled over Tuesday around 11:35 a.m. in the 500 block of Persia Avenue.
It took “numerous blocks” before the driver of the van pulled over for a cop, police said.
“The driver told the officer that he was finishing his tour at work and had left his license in his car at work,” police at Ingleside Station said.
The driver had a suspended license, police said. The cop later found a crack pipe in the suspect’s jacket. The officer also found drugs in his pocket, police said.
He was arrested for the suspended license, moving violations and the drugs.
