Their last three singles have all gone Top 10 on the UK dance charts. Their videos for “Feel Good” and “Sunlight” have been viewed on YouTube over eight million times apiece. And their high-octane live concerts — road-tested at festivals like Glastonbury, Download and the Isle of Wight — have become almost legendary overseas. Now, London’s new dubstep-inspired band Modestep is at last coming to these shores.

Their latest melodic single, “To The Stars,” is now available on iTunes (with an album to follow next year), and they’re actually hitting San Francisco on Dec. 9 at the Regency Ballroom.

The group revolves around the smoky, soulful singing of frontman/keyboardist Josh Friend, who’s backed by his DJ brother Tony on guitar. Their mission: To push the dubstep dynamic to theatrical new heights.

“Since we started Modestep over two years ago, the majority of our fans have come from the U.S.,” says Josh. “It’s been a year of talks with different promoters, and finally we get to bring our live show to the states. Expect big bass, epic stage shows, and an abundance of energy. We’re ready for you, America — let’s hope you’re ready for us, too.”
