Miley Cyrus is not happy that her father went on record lamenting her life choices. Since her dad and “Hannah Montana” costar Billy Ray Cyrus told GQ magazine that the show destroyed his family, the tween icon is fuming, Popeater reports.
“To say Miley is angry is an understatement,” a pal confides. “She’s furious that her own flesh and blood would make a private matter so public. Who does he think he is, Michael Lohan?” (Harsh!)
“This isn’t what a father does,” fumes the source, noting, “He never said a bad word about ‘Hannah Montana’ all those years it made millions for the family, and now that Miley has turned 18 and is making her own decisions, he does this. Unforgivable.”
And though Billy Ray referred to being out of touch with his daughter since footage of her smoking from a bong leaked, the insider says that “Miley has told him that if he wants to talk with her he has her number. It’s been the same number she always has had.”
Another sad story of a Hollywood family unraveling. Let’s hope they patch things up.
No Rosie Picture
Rosie O’Donnell and her partner, Tracy Katchick-Anders, have gone their separate ways, according to the New York Post. The paper reported that they remain on good terms but are now residing in separate houses. Perhaps their combined total of 10 kids took its toll on the relationship?
“Rosie and Tracy never officially lived under one roof,” a rep said. “They have lived near one another for quite some time, and their families still socialize and they see each other frequently.”
A source said, “They have definitely split up, but it is very complicated because their kids are very close. They still spend a lot of time together.”
The comedian has four children with ex Kelli Carpenter, while Tracy has six kids of her own — and yes, if you’re humming a certain TV theme song right now, Rosie did once refer to them as “the Gay-dy Bunch.”
Charlie Sheen has a reputation for throwing money around — but this time he may actually be shelling out cash for a worthwhile purchase. The man who has made headlines for allegedly writing five-figure checks to paid escorts is now offering to purchase homes in his luxe Los Angeles-area gated community for two ex-wives, Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller, so that he can see more of his kids.
And Brooke, mother of the actor’s almost-2-year-old sons Max and Bob, is “planning on taking Charlie up on his very generous offer,” a source tells Radar Online. “Brooke thinks it’s a great idea because Charlie can see their twin sons on a daily basis.”
“It’s much easier for Charlie to visit the twins if he is neighbors with Brooke,” explains the source, adding that “even though they live less than 15 miles away from each other, traffic in L.A. is notorious, and at times it can take up to an hour one way.”
“Once Charlie talked to Brooke about his idea, it just made perfect sense to her,” adds the source. “Brooke wants to help Charlie in his path to sobriety, and having the boys closer can only help him.”
No word on whether Denise Richards, mom to daughters Sam and Lola, is also interested in taking up the “Two and a Half Men” star on his offer. But if she and Brooke both did — man, that would be the makings of one heck of a reality show.
