Supervisor Bevan Dufty is getting the word out on The City’s Bike Plan. The District 8 supervisor is helping the San Francisco Municipal Transit Authority get the word out to merchants and residents about the changes that affect the Upper Market corridor with a meeting this week.
SFMTA will host the meeting at 6:30 p.m. June 30 at the Eureka Valley Recreation Center. The bicycle plan identifies Market Street between 17th Street and Octavia Boulevard as an area to receive improved bicycle facilities. An updated proposal that will help close gaps and address deficiencies within the existing bicycle route and is intended to improve bicycle travel while enhancing safety for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.
