Mayor Ed Lee, mayoral hopefuls grace Sunday Streets

Sunday Streets in the Mission district over the weekend was brimming with voters, and that wasn’t lost on at least two mayoral candidates.

Supervisors David Chiu and John Avalos were out in force in the progressive-leaning district, as was Mayor Ed Lee himself, who isn’t running for mayor. At least, that’s what he says.

Chiu has been hitting the Mission district hard in the last few weeks as he tries to court more liberal voters away from Avalos, who said he takes pride in carrying the progressive banner.

Check out Uptown Almanac for pics of the pols, and a nice rundown on their casual style.
