A sweat-soaked naked man who thrashed the bedroom of a San Francisco home Tuesday told cops that marijuana caused his fit of rage, police said.
The cops probably wished pot played a part.
Cops were called about the room-smashing madman around 6:05 p.m. They went to the home in the 800 block of Ellsworth Street, near Bernal Heights, and were told by an acquaintance that the man was “high.”
The cops went to the upstairs bedroom and ordered the suspect to come out.
“The suspect came out totally naked, and then ran back inside the room,” police said.
The man did not close the door, so the cops saw him trying to hide something as he was getting dressed. A search of the room uncovered methamphetamine, police said.
Cops said he was sweating profusely and that his eyes were dilated.
The suspect was arrested for being under the influence. "He also had a warrant!" police said.
Somehow, cops at Ingleside Station called the incident, “The best arrest of the day.”
It was not known whether the cops who arrested him felt the same way.
