Man shot dead on East Palo Alto sidewalk Monday 

Police are hunting a gunman in the cold-blooded killing of a 23-year-old man on an East Palo Alto sidewalk Monday.

Jabari Banford suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the 2500 block of Avenue at 8:50 p.m. Officers found him lying on the sidewalk. He died at the scene.

Banford was talking to people in a car when another car pulled up behind the vehicle. A gunman got out of the car, walked up to Banford and opened fire, police said.

The suspect vehicle was described as a white-colored sedan, police said.
