Katie Kadarauch brings film-score experience to San Francisco Symphony

In honor of the San Francisco Symphony’s 100th season, The Examiner is showcasing contributors to the orchestra’s distinguished history.

A Bay Area native and alumna of San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, the assistant principal violist, an acclaimed chamber musician who first appeared with the symphony in 2007 playing Mahler’s Symphony No. 7, studied at the New England Conservatory in Boston and at Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles. She has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the International Sejong Soloists and can be heard on many film scores, including “Spiderman 3” and “Pirates of the Caribbean 3.”
