Will the raging prank war between Brad Pitt and George Clooney ever end? The two close friends, known for stirring up on-set mischief, are apparently locked in an ever-escalating battle to embarrass each other. And in response to George’s recent warnings about an epic prank two years in the making, Brad vows to one-up it.
In an upcoming “Inside the Actors Studio” interview, the “Moneyball” actor explained why his pal has it in for him.
While George, starring as Danny Ocean, filmed an “Ocean’s Eleven” movie in Italy, his co-star Brad ensured the experience was an uncomfortable one for the down-to-earth actor.
“I sent a memo to the entire Italian crew, in Italian, that said, ‘Dear Crew: We wish you a wonderful shoot. George Clooney asks that, this is a very difficult role for him. He needs to concentrate deeply. Mr. Clooney asks that you try not to interrupt him, look him in the eye. If you do need to address Mr. Clooney, please refer to him only as ‘Daniel’ or ‘Mr. Ocean,’” the Oscar nominee recalled.
“It went on for two weeks,” Brad noted. “He handled it gracefully, but he was becoming unnerved, I think.”
Now that George has vowed to retaliate with his own practical joke, Brad is already gearing up to respond in kind.
“I knew that something bad was going to happen by me doing this, so I came up with a second [prank],” the actor said. “Whatever he’s got, this is uglier. It’s so bad, I don’t even know if I can do it.”
Hmm … what would really mortify George? We’re going to guess this fiendish plan involves a news release announcing his engagement to Stacy Keibler.
Courtney Love’s lawyer — no doubt one of the hardest-working men in show business — says he’ll sue when he finds out who leaked 2009 testimony from her daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, requesting a restraining order.
The now-19-year-old, engaged to a scruffy rocker who eerily resembles her late father, Kurt Cobain, in looks and style, says in the papers that her mom “has taken drugs for as long as I can remember. She basically exists now on ... Xanax, Adderall, Sonata and Abilify, sugar and cigarettes.”
“She rarely eats,” Frances notes. “She often falls asleep in her bed while she is smoking, and I am constantly worried that she will start a fire (which she has done at least three times) that will threaten our lives.”
The grunge scion even says Courtney was responsible for the death of two pets: a cat that became tangled in her hoarded belongings and a dog that consumed a stash of her pills.
Frances recalls being forced to accompany her mother to then-boyfriend Jim Barber’s home “in the middle of the night,” where the Hole frontwoman “screamed at him, threw rocks at the house and threatened to burn his house down” — while his children were inside.
Sad stuff to hear, whether or not Courtney sues over the leak.
Now that Katy Perry has separated from Russell Brand, is she going after a guy her super-religious parents would approve of? The singer dedicated a tune at a pre-Super Bowl show to quarterback Tim Tebow … and even did his signature move. Hmm.
