The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency’s new interim executive director could be in line for a pay bump.
Former external relations director Debra Johnson took over the lead role of the agency on July 1, following the forced ouster of Nathaniel Ford by the SFMTA board of directors.
On Tuesday, the board will vote on an agreement that will pay Johnson a rate based on an annual salary of $250,000 during the time she spends as interim chief. Currently, Johnson earns a base salary of $210,000, according to SFMTA spokeswoman Kristen Holland.
The SFMTA is interviewing candidates this week for the new position. Board chair Tom Nolan has said repeatedly in the past that the new hire will likely be a local one.
