Homeland Security chief warns of terrorist plots

Terrorists are living and working among us, waiting for the word to follow through with attacks planned by Americans aiding al Qaeda.

So said Department of Homeland Security chief
Janet Napolitano Monday, two days before federal prosecutors charged a Northern Virginia man with aiding a plot to blow up Metro stations.

“Individuals prepared to carry out terrorist acts are already in the country, and may carry out these acts of violence with little or no warning,” she said at the annual conference of the International Association of Police Chiefs in New York City.
