The meet-and-greet was accompanied by an intimate cocktail reception hosted by San Francisco fashionistas Denise Hale, Ann Getty and Tatiana Sorokko.
L’Wren Scott event: On Nov. 16, stylist L’Wren Scott — famed for working with personal clients and fashion designers on film projects — made a personal appearance at Barneys in San Francisco at a noon luncheon hosted by Vanessa Getty. Many of The City’s most stylish philanthropists were in attendance.
Nourse Auditorium restoration: U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer was in The City Nov. 16 at a City Arts & Lectures event announcing plans to restore Nourse Auditorium on Hayes Street. Breyer’s father was an attorney for 41 years for the San Francisco Unified School District, which owns the building housing the theater; the venue has been closed to the public for three decades. City Arts Executive Director Sydney Goldstein outlined the project; KQED Public Radio General Manager Jo Anne Wallace and Kary Schulman, director of Grants for the Arts/San Francisco Hotel Tax Fund, also made remarks.
