Gun-wielding goon fires shots at man’s pit bull 

A gun-wielding goon took pot shots at a pit bull and two scoundrels tricked and robbed a man of his cash in crimes this week.

Putnam and Nevada streets
1:10 a.m. Thursday

A gun-wielding goon shot at a pit bull, cops said. A man was walking his dog when it started barking at the gunslinger who fired numerous shots at the dog and fled. Neither the owner or dog were hurt.

1000 block of Howard Street
2:45 p.m. Wednesday

A 49-year-old man was robbed by two sneaky scoundrels, police said. The victim was waiting at a bus stop when one of the crooks asked him for change for a $5 bill. The victim got his wallet out to help and dropped it. The scoundrel grabbed the wallet and ran. Meanwhile, a second scoundrel snuck up behind the victim and knocked him to the ground. The crook grabbed his tote bag an fled.

400 block of Ellis Street
11:30 p.m. Wednesday

A man in his 30s slashed a 32-year-old woman in the arm twice, cops said. The knife-wielding thug approached the victim and called her a name she did not know. He then slashed her arm twice and fled. The victim walked to the hospital for her nonlife-threatening injuries.

2900 block of Lake Street
10 p.m. Wednesday

A burglar stole keys from a residence, police said. A 60-year-old woman was wakened by the house alarm. When she investigated the source, she saw the window panes were removed from her back door and that her keys were missing.
