While California motorists are finally starting to see a drop in gas prices, the recent falloff hasn’t had a significant effect in San Francisco.
The average gallon of gas now costs $4.26 in California, a 10-cent reduction from the month prior, according to AAA’s latest industry report. However, the price of gas in San Francisco has barely budged recently — a gallon goes for $4.41, just two cents cheaper than last month.
San Francisco residents have little season to gripe however, as the rest of the country continues to see increases in gas prices. Nationally, the average gallon of gas costs $3.92, an 11-cent increase from last month.
