Gas leak shuts down streets near Union Square in San Francisco

Streets north of San Francisco's Union Square have been shut down because of a gas leak.

An email sent out by the notification system AlertSF states that streets are closed in the area of Bush and Stockton streets.

PG&E spokeswoman Katie Romans said a third-party construction crew struck a PG&E gas line at 625 Bush St. at about 3:30 p.m.

Repair crews have been sent to the scene, she said.
