Fraudulent checks written in Foster City 

Foster City

Bad checks: At 4:15 p.m. Monday, a representative of the Costco on Metro Center Boulevard called to report the wholesaler had received three fraudulent checks. The checks were determined to be written on an account that had insufficient funds.

Battle of the exes: At 9:24 p.m. Monday, a woman at Winston Village on Vespucci Lane reported that a shoving match had occurred between her and her ex-boyfriend as they were attempting to determine possession of their dog. Police determined that it was simply a disagreement and no crime had been committed.

Vandalism: At 9:40 p.m. Monday, a person at Island United Church Corp. on Balclutha Drive reported that someone entered the building through an improperly secured door sometime between 8 a.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday and burned the carpet with cigarettes.

 

South City

Wrong way: At 8:07 a.m. Monday, a person reported that a silver Toyota was going the wrong way on Elm Court near Siebecker Center. The person said there were pieces of the vehicle in the road and described the driver as a woman with short hair and glasses.

Computer heist: At 1:40 p.m. Monday, a report was made of a burglary that happened at a Genentech building on DNA Way sometime over the weekend. Three iPads were
stolen.
