Fire Department battles blazes in Sunset, SoMa

Two one-alarm fires broke out in the South of Market and Sunset districts early Wednesday morning.

The first blaze was reported around 3:30 a.m. to a building in the 1300 block of Lawton Street at 19th Avenue. The fire was under control in about an hour.

Firefighters also battled a blaze in a two-story building at Seventh and Brannan streets around 5:22 a.m. An occupant in the building was safely evacuated.

No injuries were immediately reported.
