Firefighters controlled a fire at a home in San Francisco's Excelsior District less than 15 minutes after it started this afternoon, a fire spokeswoman said.
The one-alarm blaze was reported at 2:54 p.m. in the 700 block of Vienna Street, fire Lt. Mindy Talmadge said.
Firefighters arrived to find the deck of a two-story home on fire. The blaze was contained to the deck and controlled by 3:06 p.m., Talmadge said.
No injuries were reported due to the fire.
While crews were battling the blaze, a neighbor reported some medical issues unrelated to the fire, and a medic was called to the area. The neighbor was treated at the scene and did not require transport to a hospital, according to Talmadge.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
