The mixologist at San Francisco’s Orson restaurant won Plymouth Gin’s Pour Off Competition with her recipe for “Mint Condition”: 1½ ounces Plymouth Gin; three-fourths ounce La Gitana manzanilla sherry; half-ounce lemon juice, and five mint leaves plus one for garnish.

The young Web business consultant recently completed an overhaul of a niche web business — DUI.com — turning it into one of the most prominent players in its industry. The site’s rapid growth resulted in a successful sale of the company.

The ice cream maker and his brother Jack opened Mitchell’s Ice Cream with 20 American flavors 55 years ago. In the 1960s, they were the first to make mango ice cream in the Bay Area.
