Department of Elections looking for poll workers 

It’s going to be a busy Election Day and the Department of Elections is now looking for poll workers for to help.

Although the department has already recruited many poll workers, there are still openings in the following areas of San Francisco:

  • Balboa Terrace
  • Haight-Ashbury
  • Forest Hill
  • Inner Sunset
  • Marina
  • Mission
  • North Beach
  • Pacific Heights
  • Potrero Hill
  • Presidio
  • Presidio Heights
  • Seacliff
  • Twin Peaks
  • Upper Market

Poll workers operate polling places on Election Day, assisting voters. They are required to attend a training class prior to the election.

Applicants must be United States citizens, age 18 or older, and registered to vote in California.

Noncitizens who speak Cantonese, Mandarin or Spanish are encouraged to apply to work as translators.

Applicants must complete the on-line application.

Oh, and all positions are one-day assignments that pay between $125-$170.
