This San Francisco artist’s creative energy was outstanding – and so were her warrants, according to police.
A woman who was “causing quite a racket” with a man while reportedly creating art on a Potrero Hill sidewalk Tuesday was arrested on several outstanding narcotics warrants.
At about 7 p.m., police said, officers patrolling near the freeway underpass at 18th Street and San Bruno Avenue spotted the pair “kneeling on the sidewalk banging on multiple pieces of metal.”
When the officers asked what they were doing, the man claimed he was “creating some art and had nowhere else to work on it other than on the street.”
The officers found no evidence that the metal being used for the art piece was stolen. However, after records checks on both suspects, the woman was taken into custody and booked at Bayview Station, police said.
Her identity was not immediately available.
