San Francisco police are worried that a man who robbed a Visitacion Valley doughnut shop Monday morning might not live, Officer Gordon Shyy said.
Around 3 a.m. Monday morning, the man entered the Happy Donut Store in the 2600 block of Bayshore Boulevard and robbed the place at gunpoint, Shyy said.
The owner of the shop grabbed a knife and tried to fight off the robber but was shot in the arm, Shyy said. The owner also managed to stab the suspect in the torso and police believe his injuries are most likely critical and that the suspect could die if he is not treated immediately.
The suspect is described as a black man between the ages of 30 and 40, possibly bald, about 5-foot-8 to 5- foot-10 with a thin build. He was wearing all black clothing with a possible stab wound to his torso.
If anyone has information on this suspect, they are encouraged to contact Inspector Jim Garrity at (415) 553-9002, or call the anonymous tip line at (415) 553-4444 or by text at TIP411. Please include SFPD in the subject line.
