Cabbie robbed at knife-point in SoMa

A taxi driver was robbed by a customer at knife-point in the South of Market district Wednesday night, police said.

The hack heist was reported in the 1000 block of Folsom Street, near Sixth Street, at about 8:45 p.m.

The suspect hailed the taxi, went on a ride and then put the knife to the cab driver’s neck, police said. He then reportedly ordered the 38-year-old driver to turn off the vehicle and his cellphone.

The suspect fled with the driver’s cash on foot. There had been no arrest as of Thursday morning, police said.
