Board to vote on honors for outgoing supes

During the Board of Supervisors meeting Tuesday, four outgoing supervisors could find themselves honored with resolutions commending their work over the years.

The proposed resolution commending and honoring Supervisor Chris Daly says “Daly was never afraid to challenge the status quo to improve the lives of every day people” and worked with certain groups “to strengthen the progressive movement in San Francisco.”

“Daly was an effective and prolific legislator, he sponsored and passed more than 150 ordinances, almost 400 resolutions and 12 charter amendments,” it says.

Supervisor Bevan Dufty “will always be remembered for his tremendous loyalty to friends, staff and city colleagues,” says the resolution for him.

Supervisor Michela Alioto-Pier “has been a leading voice for job growth,” according to her proposed commendation, and the one for Supervisor Sophie Maxwell credits Maxwell for helping “to shape land use policy citywide with the goal of empowering community and improving the quality of life in our city.”
