Two pals playing video games in the Bayview got into a heated argument — and that’s the last thing one hospitalized gamer can remember, police said.
The seriously injured gamer woke up in an ambulance headed to Kaiser Hospital around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. He told officers at the hospital that he was playing video games at his pal’s house in the 600 block of Keith Street when they “began to argue about something and things heated up,” police said.
The resident of the home ordered the victim to leave. As he was leaving, he bent down to pick up his backpack. The next thing the victim can remember was waking up in the ambulance.
“He told the officers that he believed the suspect hit him with a bar stool, knocking him out and causing him to fall down the stairs,” police said.
He had serious head injuries that required stapling, police said.
No arrests were reported. The alleged assault remains under investigation, police said.
