BART posts online survey to gather feedback on potential general manager

BART is reaching out to its passengers for feedback and insight as to what kind of new general manager the riding public wants.

The regional transit agency has been without a full-time general manager since the end of April, when Dorothy Dugger stepped down following a vote by the board of directors (later rescinded) to fire her. Dugger left the agency with a $950,000 buyout package, and now Sherwood Wakeman is currently being employed by the agency on an interim basis.

BART is in the midst of a nationwide search for a new candidate to replace Dugger, but in the meantime, the agency is reaching out to its passengers for their input.

A new survey has been established online with a series of questions aimed at parsing out what kind of GM the riders want. The survey will be online until midnight on July 1.
