BART extends service for New Year's Eve
New Year’s Eve revelers will be able to use the service until 3 a.m. Also, the agency — in an effort to keep the Embarcadero station from overcrowding — is splitting up stops for trains. Starting at 8 p.m. from the East Bay, Richmond and Pittsburg-Bay Point trains will skip Embarcadero and make its first city stop at the Montgomery Street station. Dublin-Pleasanton and Fremont lines will stop at Embarcadero, but not at Montgomery Street. After midnight, Richmond and Pittsburg-Bay Point trains will leave from Montgomery Street and skip Embarcadero, while Dublin-Pleasanton and Fremont lines will skip Montgomery Street and depart from Embarcadero.
