After Brad Pitt’s recent comments to the press admitting he and Angelina Jolie “would like to” get married, you’d be forgiven for believing a lavish Brangelina wedding is just around the corner. But the “Moneyball” star’s baby mama has put the kibosh on buzz that he might have already given her a ring.
“I think anything said tends to be blown out of proportion,” the actress and mom of six sniffed to People magazine at the SAG awards Sunday night, when asked about engagement talk.
“Yeah, that was my fault,” the Oscar-nominated actor conceded.
Brad recently said the kids have been nagging him to “get Mommy a ring” — and despite an earlier avowal that they wouldn’t get married until gay people can as well, “I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out.”
Hmmm … did the press really overplay Brad’s comments? Sounds to us more like Angie just chose to downplay them, and instructed him to do the same.
Halle Berry was in court with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry on Monday to discuss disturbing allegations about his behavior around their daughter, Nahla, 3. A nanny told police he pushed her while she was holding the tot.
According to TMZ, the French model insists the nanny’s allegations are an attempt to get on Halle’s good side.
The paparazzi site reports that at the court hearing, Los Angeles County’s child services department recommended counseling. Halle agreed to continue individual counseling, Gabriel agreed to go to anger management counseling, and both agreed to little Nahla attending counseling. But allegedly Gabriel balked at attending sessions with Halle and a third-party mediator to hash out a better co-parenting relationship, though his ex was game.
Radar Online reports that one recommendation was for Halle and Gabriel to take co-parenting classes.
The child services investigation will “remain open while Gabriel and Halle take the parenting classes and to ensure that Nahla’s safety and well-being continue,” a source, evidently Team Gabriel, tells the site. “Gabriel absolutely wants to work with Halle, and that hasn’t happened, so he is hopeful that can happen now.”
Well, we’re glad everyone’s on board with getting some form of help. But it’s obvious this situation is far from resolved.
Lady Gaga’s latest boyfriend is over her over-the-top persona, In Touch reports. According to the tabloid, Taylor Kinney asked the “Born This Way” singer to act like a regular gal, not a walking work of performance art.
“Gaga started living and breathing her character 24/7 because she felt her fans wanted that,” a source explained. But her beau is said to prefer a more natural vibe.
“Taylor has convinced her that he loves the real Stefani,” an insider said. (That would be Ms. Germanotta’s actual first name.)
In response, the pop diva allegedly promised to act “more human.” Just regular relationship issues!
