Son Pax’s adoption was just finalized, but a report claims that uber-maternal Angelina Jolie may already be ready for another child. A source allegedly told a British tabloid she and partner Brad Pitt are considering a girl from Chad, so their multiracial children have "a balance of faces in their life."
Move over, Dannielynn — there’s a new paternity battle brewing.
Early Tuesday in Santa Monica, Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown gave birth to a 5-pound, 4-ounce daughter. "Baby is completely healthy with a good head of hair," her rep said in a statement. "Mother and baby are now resting. No name has been decided on as yet, and [the newborn] is purely known as Baby Brown!" (After all, "Baby Spice" was already taken.)
But this joyous event is doubtless bound to stir up tension, as the infant’s paternity is very publicly in question. Famously, Mel B. announced her pregnancy while dating presumed baby-daddy Eddie Murphy — who then dumped her for Tracey Edmonds and insisted in an on-air interview that "we don’t know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test."
"I was astonished what Eddie said," Mel B. declared of the "Dreamgirls" star’s dis. "There is absolutely no question that Eddie is the father."

"Today" host Meredith Vieira has it all — a great job, a great family — but she has revealed that she suffers from bouts of depression and anxiety.
"I think you can develop depression, to be honest with you," she tells Ladies’ Home Journal. "I think sometimes maybe the magnitude of life just sort of seeps into my brain.
"I’ve got three great kids and a husband and we’re all fine," Meredith adds. "We’re so lucky. But then other times there’s a weight that comes on you. Pressure, self-inflicted pressure."
Even fan mail can upset her, Meredith confesses. "I could see 10 great letters and then the next one that comes up that says ‘I can’t stand you’ is the only one I’ll remember. It’s horrible. I don’t really have a thick skin. I think it’s gotten thinner, actually."
What would Hollywood be without lurid gossip about directors leaving their wives for their leading ladies? The latest couple charged with this industry-standard scandal: bombshell actress Rose McGowan and Robert Rodriguez, her director (along with Quentin Tarantino) in "Grindhouse." The New York Post claims their passionate on-set affair destroyed Robert’s 15-year marriage to wife Elizabeth Avellan.
"It was the worst-kept secret on the set," a source reportedly told the New York Post. "They were going off to his trailer, having meals together. Rose thought some of the crew were treating her differently, and the attitude was, like, ‘Well, what do you expect when you’re’" — well, you get the idea.
And it would appear that the relationship has survived the film shoot. An eyewitness told the paper, "They arrived in the same limo for the L.A. premiere, but they got out separately several minutes apart to avoid being seen together."
Robert and Elizabeth reportedly insist their split is amicable.
Patient Britney Spears’ fans have suffered through the troubled pop star’s antics with just one desperate plea: Make some new music already! Now one of the producers working on her upcoming disc says the fantastic comeback album we’ve been waiting for is in the works.
Producer Sean Garrett revealed to People magazine that Britney’s new music is "really coming together right now. I know she’ll do exceptionally well now that she’s out of rehab."
Tantalizingly, he promised tracks sounding "like ‘Toxic’ times 10. It’s going to be a lot of fun and it’s really exciting. We did a lot of great work before her break."
Sean added, "Britney is a superstar. She definitely knows how to handle herself, but it’s tough sometimes. The pressure sometimes gets to you, but I think she has done such a great job keeping her composure under the circumstances."
