All lanes of Bay Bridge clear after collision

All lanes of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge reopened shortly after 3 p.m. today following a multi-vehicle crash that slowed westbound traffic, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Preliminary reports indicate that six vehicles were involved in the accident, which happened on the upper deck of the bridge near Treasure Island, CHP Officer Marc Johnston said.

The crash temporarily blocked the No. 4 and 5 westbound lanes. A Sig-alert issued at 1:43 p.m. was canceled at 3:10 p.m.

Two people sustained minor injuries, but it was not immediately clear whether they required hospital treatment.
