With big plans afoot for Market Street, The City is reaching out to citizens to help plan for the future of San Francisco’s central thoroughfare.
Market Street has already been the scene of traffic calming experiments and new art displays, and in the coming years, major repaving and streetscaping projects are set to begin.
To help monitor those ambitious plans, the Department of Public Works is set to establish a Citizens Advisory Committee. Each member of the CAC will be expected to serve three years, with the group meeting — at a minimum — every three months.
To find out more about joining the Better Market Street Project’s Citizens Advisory Committee, applicants should visit the project’s website. The application deadline is Sept. 7.
