I am nuts for Tartine’s morning buns. They do it up right with the perfect mix of yeastiness, orange essence and cinnamon sugar. Make sure you get them fresh and warm — and be open to total taste bliss. Get there early, as they will be sold out!

I need a little French fix to take me back to Paris, and Nick Ronan at Bisou is all that it takes. Delicious food and a jovial atmosphere with a friendly and attentive staff. I highly recommend the Frissee salad, French onion soup and the Day Boat scallops!

Ike’s at Lime is a bohemian sandwich shop that makes “take-out” a whole new thing. Their Dirty Secret Sauce is delicious, and the “Menage a Trois” is the best sandwich I’ve had in years. Get there early or call in your order to avoid the lines.

Relaxed, fun atmosphere any day of the week. “Fresca” means fresh, and the ingredients are always the freshest. Our family loves the Aji de Gallina, which is pulled chicken stew with aji amarillo cream, yukon potatoes, soft-boiled eggs, walnuts and steamed rice.
