A glamorous gala for green living in San Francisco 

‘Gorgeous & Green’: Global Green, a group dedicated to creating a secure and sustainable future, presented its seventh annual San Francisco gala Dec. 6 at Bently Reserve. Singer Michelle Branch performed, a gourmet organic dinner prepared by Michael Mina and Joseph Humphrey was served and an eco-fashion show was on the program. Rosario Dawson, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, Zem Joaquin, Nadine Weil and Amber Marie and Christopher Bently were among the notable hosts.

 

Dakota Jackson earns design honors

Design Icon Award reception: Furniture designer Dakota Jackson received the Academy of Art University’s School of Interior Architecture and Design’s first Design Icon Award on Dec. 7. AAU president Elisa Stephens presented the honor to Jackson, who spoke to students about his design philosophy and process the next day.

 

Sneak peek at DKNY resort clothing line

Vogue-DKNY reception: Vogue magazine presented an informal preview of designs from the Donna Karan Resort 2012 collection at Saks Fifth Avenue in The City on Dec. 6. The evening event, which included cocktails, was hosted by Sabrina Buell and Kimberly Miller.
