The tennis courts are for a bunch of rich people. The people who don't want the new develop because their "views" are blocked (boohoo) are a bunch of rich people. The water front is not affected by this development....so now they make it a political thing...typical of the progressive movement. The progressives trot out the same tripe ...the old "boogeyman" of "downtown interests", of a "conspiracy", of "LLP".Folks this is all about a few rich people living in the tower that are gonna lost part of their $2 million dollar view and they are afraid their property value is gonna go down. Well they moved into their building which blocked someone else's view and they didn't seem to care!!This is about rich people buying it....and now the progressives are using it for an District 5 election "issue".... progressives dont care about anything except getting their hands on power. They have controlled the city for more than 20 years and things have gotten worse not better!
Well at least the Examiner ran this in the Editorial section instead of the news section LOL. You finally got it right EX!
So please tell us where are our progressive district supervisor's on trying to make our city streets safer. In particular safer in the Mission, SOMA, Tenderloin, parts of the Richmond... When this question is posed all I ever hear is the sound of crickets...nothing, nada, zero response. The progressive supervisors have never ever stepped up and made a public comment, "Crime of any sort will not be tolerated in my District or The City as a Whole". That statement NEEDS to include so-called "quality of life crime too". While violent crime is now out of control, is and was always a slippery slope as to when those muggings cross the line, when quality of life issues (petty theft, car window smashing, tagging, dealing drugs) become much more...they have now!
"Taking money from the power elite and spending it to brand yourself as a progressive is the kind of transparent cronyism District 5 voters reject," said opponent Julian Davis"...and what, please tell us Julian, does it mean when the huge non-profit industry backs YOU with their dollars, and then if elected turn around and give them everything they ask for in their contract negotiations? Seems it works both ways.... Power Elite...LOL ....give me a break. By the way, what are the annual salaries of the union leadership theses days?
@Erika: Yes and he really just left a little bruise, no big deal Stand By Ross he knows what his women needs, it is a private matter!
Jane Kim, thanks for all your help...now can you do something (anything!!) about the violence in your SOMA district? More police perhaps? More enforcement of sit lie on street people (no not the homeless, the streetpeople).
I said it before and will say it again, it was just one arm grab and one little bruise. It is/was/and should continue to be a private matter as Ross has so stated from the very first mention of this whole thing. He knows best about his women and how to handle her!! Stand By Ross!! It was just one little tiny (can hardly see it) bruise.
