More laws don't and won't work. I state, based on first hand experience, that severe sentences are the only thing I have seen to have an impact. Unfortunately that will not happen on the state level ie: jail overcrowding, the expense etc.
I have seen the list you mention. Parolee's (means you have been to prison) and (felony) probationers ARE REQUIRED to surrender their guns. Two points: 1) There are only a handful of DOJ agents tasked with investigating 'firearms violations' for the entire state. Thanks to budget cuts etc. 2) The Armed Prohibited Persons List simply indicates that the person purchased a gun in the past. Not that they currently possess a gun. There is alot more to this and is more involved than you reported.
Also, the ammo to be banned is NOT military ammo. Get your facts straight. But I guess telling the 'whole truth' doesn't sell papers.
Where to I contribute to the lawsuit/legal challenge??
Hope legal action is taken against the city and they (City) have to pay legal costs. Also your info re: Fish & Game law about the bullets to be used is WRONG. Last time the city had a shooting using the bullets to banned.....6 years ago!!! What does that tell us. Waste of time. Anyone arrested traveling the 101 or 80, if this passess, I will contribute to your legal fund and join your lawsuit.
Get rid of Section 8, public housing, "lifetime" welfare, the BAYVIEW, no more Gov't assistance after the first kid w/o getting a job and watch crime decrease..... that's a new and interesting concept. Why didn't I think of that before??? I should be president.
Money is money. Now is not the time to complain about where it's invested.
