@ Steyer...."give" your money to the 'State'....27Million...and how much did you claim on your State/Federal tax form as a deductable ???....oopppsss.....all,huh...!!!!
the one and only executive action he's taken that i approve of. . .
Hetch Hetchy Valley was never even close to the grandeur of Yosemite Valley per the people that saw and compared the two.
If we drain Hetch Hetchy, it will soon become a parking lot filled with busses, SUVs and littering obese tourists, gift shops, asphalt-paved camp grounds with toilets and visitors centers...screwed up completely like Yosemite Valley...a Disneyland of a Valley now completely destroyed. Give Hetch Hetchy the dignity of being protected from humans by keeping it water-cushioned until a wiser species of human evolves.
Why lose 1.7 billion kilowatt hours of green electricity a year and the gift of unfiltered water.....we would have to build fossil-fuel powered filtration plants if we get water from another source..NO THANKS pseudo-environmentalists!
Much too expensive to put the 38 and Van Ness underground. Besides, Van Ness doesn't have anything like the traffic volume that Geary has. We should just leave Geary alone. The solution to this non-problem will be expensive and will be no better than the present #38 performance.
Actually, the #38 now runs often and quite briskly on its route. The only real problem is the many cross streets with stop signs and stop lights in the avenues. Installing a system that allows #38 drivers to change traffic lights in their favor would help.
The rest is make-work projects for the MTA and DPW.
Wow. Soon we'll have to dial 4 more digits (1415) just to call your next door neighbor in SF? That sucks. Same thing happened in Manhattan years ago with 212. Bummer.
We are having a drought right now, so pleae do not start using SF's Hetch hetchy water.
Put the #38, #22 and Van Ness lines undergound, the same as the Market St lines are.
Extend the F-line through the Ft. Mason Tunnel, out to Crissy Field and out to Ocean Beach.
Until then, our transit is junk.
It's embarrassing to see European and Asian people visiting here. Our system is pathetic compared to what you see there.
The real solution is more supply.
The BMR units only increase the cost of new supply by confiscating 25-35% from new construction to put toward the BMR units. This makes the market rate housing pricier by that percentage, reducing supply, which is the real problem.
Six-figure building permits do the same thing.
And besides, who decides which comrades get the BMR housing? Can I have one? Oh, I work hard.
What happens when newly graduated, hard-working engineers can only afford micro-apartments, while trying to pay off $200K in college loans, and they walk past the bigger units in the projects in the Mission? WTF?
Mr. Keller, you have my full support.
If you put it on the ballot I'll volunteer to campaign for it.
A federal crime.
Sorry perp, Kamala and Gascon helped you develop your career, but can't help you this time.
She's a bad ass! Robbing two people in their 90's?!? The elderly people she ripped off had to work for theirs.
There's a place in hell for this bitch.
