Re: “San Francisco Sheriff’s Department, deputies ordered to stand trial over alleged abuse of arrestee

and johnny whoever you are, you don't know anything about my family..how dare you pass judgement, you know absolutely nothing and believe nothing except what you are told like the good little sheep that you are...this is why these police feel so entitled to take lives and destroy families, because they have the support from idiots like yourself

Re: “San Francisco Sheriff’s Department, deputies ordered to stand trial over alleged abuse of arrestee

my cousin durell hunter did not murder anyone, and apparently his attorney's and the judge agreed with him. my cousin isn't perfect but he was cleared of all charges, after serving over a decade for a crime he didn't even commit. the police are the real murderers and thugs, and they should be the ones doing life with all the lives they've taken over the years.

Re: “Youth anxious about their future due to SF cost of living

Zabe 13's illiterate rant shows just how bad public schools are now. I mean, he cant even spell "bullet" right. I guess it's better to wallow in failure and ignorance instead of getting an education lest "facts" get in the way!

clothing description doesn't do much, we need a face, type of walk, something that stands out, like HOMEY from Oakland, here's my lost I.D.

Re: “Youth anxious about their future due to SF cost of living

It's a good lesson for them that what is desirable (like living in San Francisco) may be expensive and it takes hard work (studying, doing home work) to be among those who can afford, and thus get, such things.

Too many kids grow up today thinking they are entitled to whatever they want, like a trophy for just showing up, someone else will provide their every wish in spite of their own lack of effort (or misdirected effort). So to all you "youth leaders" I say, cut out the complaining and go home and study for your SATs and someday you too can have a condo in South Beach.

The silver SUV [ likely scenario ] then headed for the Bay Bridge and then back to __________ ( fill in blank ; Oakland , Vallejo , Richmond , San Leandro ).

Re: “Public housing resident requested smoke detectors fixed before fatal fire

"A Housing Authority electrician tried to enter the unit to make the fix three times and was "rebuffed" by an unknown woman, according to Keith Cholakian, a private attorney hired by the Housing Authority who suggested the detectors were taken down so that people in the unit could use drugs." This should have been the headline for this story.

Re: “NPR's 'Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" taping in San Francisco

I don't believe that this was not the first time that the show was in San Francisco. I attended a taping a few years ago when Biz Stone was the guest at the War Memorial Center.

Re: “Youth anxious about their future due to SF cost of living

Look at the news today about what New York is doing. Building expensive million dollar buildings and allotting a few apartments in the building for the less fortunate so that they can build bigger buildings but the less fortunate have to use a back door in the building to get to their apartments because the rich don't want to see them.

Re: “SF driver has proof of unfair parking ticket

SF, it is a shame that you have to cheat, and give wrongful tickets to its residents and tourists in order to make money! We already pay a premium price to live here, we don't have time to fight tickets that should not have been given out in the first place. When will that stop?

Re: “My heart, home is not in S.F. anymore

I enjoyed your article very much. I can relate to most of it - even if you have rent control, feeling helpless to control your own safety and safe enjoyment of what you pay good money for in rent each month. Wish you all the best, but hope not everyone like you is driven out of the city.

Re: “My heart, home is not in S.F. anymore

What a load of whining drivel. Who cares if you and yours move? Everyone of us has to do what we think is right. I like trees, free parking and kids. I don't like busybodies, bums or people who write whining drivel. So please go live any place you can afford-I just hope its not around me or mine.

Re: “Youth anxious about their future due to SF cost of living

Sadly, this is our future. Those who "get" to live here going forward are the lucky and entrenched tenants - rich and poor - in rent-controlled apartments (whose owners are forced to continue renting to them at absurdly low rents until they sell in frustration to someone who evicts and sells all the apartments as TICs), those in public housing (funding by the taxpayer) and the very wealthy (who can afford to pay a 15% premium for their new condo to provide for the low income people living in the same building). The Middle Class of San Francisco is dwindling and has no future here. Our housing policies are the reason for this mess, thanks to the Tenants Union who seeks to "protect" current tenants (despite their wealth) at the expense of anyone else unfortunate enough to be in search of an apartment or condo.
