Re: “Depth, complexity missing from Michael Mina’s casual Ramen Bar

Namaste Everyone, Looks good, Its nice to have International Foods. Has anyone tried Native American food? You like Buffalo? There are changing trends going on in American Indian diets with some going back to Ancestral Diet to combat diseases like diabetes and others. Pine Ridge Indian Reservation has a very high rate of diabetes. Pilamaya, Timothy Two Toes Less Right Foot.

Re: “Depth, complexity missing from Michael Mina’s casual Ramen Bar

$14 for noodles, give me break. Just another over hyped over price restaurant for the hipters.

No thanks I will go to the Tenderlion to get real ramon noodles for half the price.

Re: “Ridesharing also bad for drivers

Just a few things to think about if you use your own car for ride-share.

As mentioned above, your personal insurance will not cover you and your vehicle warranty will be voided.

Also, What's their phone number? Anybody know? If you have a dispute over pay or deactivation, is there anybody you can talk to? Can you imagine making a $10,000 to $50,000 investment in a business and not having anyone to call or talk to in person if a problem comes up?

Everyday you get in that car, if you are in an at fault accident you are liable for $1000 (uber) and $2500 (lyft). And that's assuming these companies come through in a timely manner on a claim. During that time you are off the road and not making a dime.

The pay changes hourly. All these rideshare companies add safe rider fees and fare splitting fees which you do not get one dime from. On a $4 minimum fare you pay almost 50% in commisioon to the rideshare company. More if the riders split the fare. Every rideshare company has dropped their fares at least 20% recently thus dropping pay by 20%.

Uber doesn't allow tips on it's ap. Lyft does

You can be deactivated anytime for any reason. They will not show you any proof, not provide the names of riders who low rated you. If you get anything lower than 80% perfect ratings, you can be deactivated. How would you like to buy a car to do this and two weeks later you are deactivated?

Do you know that all rideshare companies have serious security guards at all their offices where they have contact with drivers?

It seems to me the people making money at this are the licensed livery drivers with nice sedans or SUV's. Those people get some serious fares. Buit they too have been forced (yes forced) to accept lower fares charged by the rideshares and now they are being forced to accept non lux pax that pay fares that are half of whet they get now.

That is a totally respectable initiative. Here is one way to add more strength to it:

I vote for the Martini being the city's drink - with gin though.

Re: “Leaked photos of nude stars linked to possible Apple bug

I’m with Gervais. There is really no such thing as 100% secure file storage if its connected to the internet. Especially if you use any third party storage... I store EVERYTHING on a portable hard drive... and dis-connect it when I am not using it.. You can get a terabyte portable hard drive for around $150.00, I never have to worry about losing anything or anyone stealing my files...and I don't pay a monthly fee..

Hell, I don’t even really use my “smart phone”. My old dumb-one is good enough for me and its cheaper. It’s a waste of money just like so many other things in America like student loans (get a cheap education!), expensive car insurance (my $25/month policy from Insurance Panda is good enough for me), and fast food (who wants to pay $10 for a Chipotle burrito?!?).

Also - One way to completely ensure there are no bad photos of yourself that could wind up in an embarrassing situations is to NOT take them. Seems pretty logical to me...

Re: “Providing the right resources for SFUSD’s black students

The right resources should include such things as regular homework and testing, and enforced classroom discipline.. In other words, treat them like students and forget all this ethnic nonsense: you can carry this ''oppressed'' noise only so far.

Re: “Providing the right resources for SFUSD’s black students

The right resources should start at home. That is the problem with this community, their parents or parent in most cases are not teaching their kids. There is only so much a school can do. Parents need to get involved

Re: “Indian casinos have different set of laws

0,000 at san pablo lytton casino and about an hour later security approached me and a gal that I was talking with and asked us to come to there office. They told me.that the gal next to me when I won is the one who is entitled to the money and that I was to give them the money back and it is to go to her. I never gave this woman Permission to touch my machine and it was my money that was put into the machine. They casino paid me the money and I sent it home with my mother and the security even drove her to her car. Now they are telling me that im not leaveing there office until I call my mother and tell her to bring the money back. Then they start questioning the other gal and she tells them that she had been barred from the casino and they still were holding me until my mother braught back the money. They said if I didnt give it back I will be arrested for tax evasion. They had me call my mother 3 times. Then when she showed up with the money they went to another room to count it, came back and said it was short 100 , I gave them another 100 , he left the room and came back again and handed me 3000. I asked what that was for and he shrugged his sholders. I tried to make a complaint of this and no one would respond to my complaints, then at a year of attemps I was banned from the casino and now I have no choice but to sue the casino, but im told that they can do as they please and im having trouble finding a lawyer that deals with indian casinos. I was robbed and held against my will until the money was returned. If your a lawyer that can help please contact me at

We're eating more bugs and developing nations are eating more beef. Obviously, America is in decline, but let's put a happy face on it.
