Re: “Review: Devices, apps act like one under iOS 8

Android's been doing most of that for years. You must be an Apple fanboy. I'd rather use a Blackberry 10 device than some phoney baloney iOS product.

Most of these Apple phoneys don't even know how to use these functions. iPhones have become status symbols. People just want the latest one even though the specs are mediocre and price is unjustified.

Re: “Plant gets Tesla closer to electric car for masses

What Nevada offers is known and quantifiable regulations. California's regs are murky at best, and a moving target at the least.

California is not the place to put any kind of machine that moves, or needs to be plugged in or oiled. It's a fine waiting to happen.

Lastly Tesla doesn't have the ten years to throw away waiting for California to bless their project.

Re: “US official airs 'myths' on Colorado River water

Hello.

The Denver Post had a recent article including comments made by Anne Castle, an Assistant Sec. of the Interior.

Why doesn't the government, which supposedly believes in alternative forms of energy,
also
see the need for De-Salinization of the oceans bordering our continent???

? Are the environmentalists CONTROLLING this avenue ???
Why can't the people of the whole nation (taxes) support the costs to build and control the wastes ????

I bet there are many who would do this, if given the proper choices, and the alternatives.

Specifically, common sense shows that there is indeed a LOT of water available off the coast of California,
which has a long coast.

California is taking water from COLORADO !!!! WHY??? Because of antiquated laws, which back when they were made, did not know about DESALINIZATION.

LOOK AT WHAT OTHER COUNTRIES DO.

PLEASE, we can solve the water issues of the Colorado River systems, IF YOU ARE WILLING TO LOOK AT THE
BIG PICTURE.

EVERYONE CAN HELP PAY.

Thank you,
Susan Todd, Greeley, Colorado

Re: “Court rules for Yelp in suit over online ratings

The courts ruling was actually to protect googles strangle hold on business.

You pay Google or you don't exist.

Definitely time to break them up. They have too much social and political power all rolled into one company.

Re: “3 ways insurers can discourage sick from enrolling

As an insurance Broker, my experience is that most insurers are honorable most of the time, however, health insurers are a beat of another kind from home, car, and business insurers. There was never a question that our health care system was not working for everyone. And there should have been no question of the error in allowing the ineptitude that is Congress to suggest they had a way to fix it. Of course the "progressives" who's only real progress is moving the US closer and closer to full socialism, may have never intended for the Obamacare ACA to succeed. Maybe all they wanted was to get their fat fingers into another multi billion pie, knowing eventually it will get so bad that people will beg for national health care?

Re: “Hard to swallow? Burger King may move to Canada

Canucks seem to have avoided many of the social and economic mistakes that plague us now . I lived in Vancouver , several years ago . They have managed to blend a certain ' workable ' socialism [ medical care is run by the provinces , mostly ] with free market capitalism and avoided the ' turbo capitalism ' , i . e. never ending bubble economy and ' surreal estate ' excesses , that have taken us down . Their over all standard of living is now better than ours .

Re: “Obama moves to extend student loan payment relief

Attention Please, This is to announce to the General public about a genuine lender online that helped me when i was in financial difficulties. I am Mrs Giselle Dawn living in Virginia, Manassas, USA. But as God would have it, i was introduced to a private loan lender by names Mr. Crist Luis who gave me a loan of $500,000USD and today my business has improved and I'm now a owner of a home. So, I'm here to let you know that if you must contact any firm with reference in getting a loan with low interest rate of 2% and better repayment plans and schedule, please contact Mr.Crist Luis. He doesn't know that I'm doing this but i will like others to know that there are still some good persons out there who is still willing to assist those in financial difficulties so i decided to let people know more about him. Re: “Yelp CEO reviews his own business after 10 years

Yelp was one of my favorite websites, until they closed my account. They are all about favoritism! My account was deleted because I left a bad review under a business, and without any legit reason first Yelp deleted my comment. When I reposted the comment again, someone within the customer support organization went in and deleted my account without any given reason. "Good job Jeremy Stoppelman for finally reviewing your own business after 10 years. I hope one day a competitor opens an equivalent site to yours and nails yelp to the wall!!"

It just proves the "new entrepreneurs" are just like the "old entrepreneurs " - it's all about the bottom line.

As it should be.

Re: “Axed Nokia X phones suffered from lack of identity

So when is Microsoft going to recognize that it didn't "invent" Windows and meet with some of the pioneers that did. Many are not dead and are still inventing.

Inventing, a profession that is forced to die. Trolls are simply like real estate brokers trying to monetize a government grant, that the government is hell bent on taking away. Inventors are now like the musicians in the 30's to 60's.

Re: “UK investigating Facebook over psych experiment

it doesn't have to be Facebook. the government is already doing emotional contagion or messing with your psyche. in gov't working circles, higher ups or lows, they'll believe anything once it gets out there viral. believe it, everyone without question as group think will believe anything when it gets out there and if it sounds remotely credible. very few doubters, most will believe like zombies.

Re: “Pay raises go mainly to those in select industries

This is why it's more important than ever to save for retirement. If we can't make top dollar, we at least have to work harder to save to end up in the same place. The math is simple, cold, and refreshing. It makes me want to work harder, save more, and conquer mountains. I will be rich, and by the time I retire I will be downright wealthy. This is how I am saving:
1. Always put the max in my 401k that my employer will match. For me 5% with a 4% match.
2. I need life insurance, but I should use term. You can get policies online at LifeAnt for $15 a month. Save the difference to a Roth IRA.
3. I need to put money in my 401k, but this all by itself isn't enough. I need to save another 5-10% of my income every month in nonqualified accounts. Put money in low cost funds like Vanguard, and use automatic deductions from my checking account.
4. I eat out one less time per week. This saves $50-$100 easily. Ditto if you spend money in bars. CUT IT OUT!

Re: “Will that be a 6-bedroom suite or just a couch?

Great article! For our first stay in San Fran we booked a hotel that we found through reviews at http://san-francisco.hotelscheap.org/ and it was okay. The next time we visited a friend told us to look on airbnb.com and our experience was just so much better that time. It definitely makes a difference to your visit when you get to talk to locals over a glass of wine on their terrace... :)
From now on every destination I go to will be looked up on airbnb first...
