Serra is a thug school. All they care about is sports. I don't see any academnic excellence going on for a WCAL school.
Hmmmm.....If what you say is true, that saying Good Bye to the Stick is bittersweet, then why didn't you & Joe Montana do more to have the Stick renovated, or a new Stadium in SF?!?! Instead both of you campaigned for Little Jed's soon to be house of horrors Stadium in Santa Clara!
i just wanna say the seahawks are a bunch of chickens and they'll never have the caliber of a team that we have here. sure they beat us at seattle but take away all that goddamn noise from those over eager fans that have yet to even know what its like having your team IN the Super Bowl let alone win 5 of them, you see that its a much more fair match up. niners won't even have to play these punks in the playoffs anyway.theyll probably choke in the second round.just like they did last year. seahawks suck they always will. or at least until they get some decent looking uniforms..
and marshawn lynch is a bay area kid he needs to come play for the bay
All NFC roads to Super Bowl go through Seattle. We all know what that means: Sorry San Fran. The regular season is just a platform to amass the most wins in order to capture home field and punch SB ticket. Look, it's an arms race and the bye and home field mean everything in the playoffs. So be prepared to win more regular season games than the Seahawks over the next 5 years or you guys have no shot. Ponder this one: The Seahawks could very well go to the next 2 or 3 Super Bowls and that's not even much of a stretch.
Don't worry... NBC will find a way to screw it up. They always do...
Colin Kaepernick will never win a Super Bowl if he doesn't learn how to operate out of the pocket. This is not just my opinion or Glenn Dickey's. Joe Montana, who knows more about being a quarterback than just about anyone alive, says the same thing. Yes, Colin is a remarkable athlete, but he's, at the point in time, just an a great athlete trying to be a great quarterback. If he doesn't start getting it together soon, it may never happen with him.
I mean, under severe pressure, from the likes of the Seahawks or other play off contenders, he frequently loses track of time, doesn't know what to call with rapidly alternating defensive schemes, and runs first BEFORE simply standing in the pocket and finding a recevier. Any functional quarterback with time can throw a pass of approx. 60 yards to an open receiver. The question is: how do you react in split seconds under pressure??? We all know how Montana reacted. The question will Kap ever learn as Dickey says?
I have to agree with the other post on here. Are you watching the game? The pass protection was suspect all game. Which might be due to Iupati's absence as well as the strength of the Buc's D-line, which is fast becoming one of the better ones in the league. Kaepernick was under pressure for much of the game and still managed to move the ball with his legs and with some jaw dropping passes on the run. As bad as the Bucs may seem, their defense is loaded with talent and they've been winning of late. Heck, they almost knocked off Seattle in Seattle and their D leads the league in picks. I also thought Kap showed a great deal of improvement checking down when needed, something he seemed to struggle with in previous games. And frankly, your assertion that Kap did nothing in Seattle is crap. The end of half 2 minute drill in that game was a huge difference maker.
Wow, I'm in complete head shake mode. Glenn, do you actually watch the games or just comment on the box score? Kaepernick was extremely efficient and the Bucs had pressure on him all game of which he escaped and made plays. What is he supposed to do, sit in the pocket and get his head knocked in to prove to you he can throw out of the pocket. The only criticism I could see from this past game is that he scrambles to his right WAY too much but other than that I think he played a very efficient, smart game.
Blow the stuff up.Send Reggie back to Green bay to hold clip board. And fire Allen get a real GM and build up defense.
That's a star,t and teach these dopes how to tackle somebody.
Serra is a steroid school. No secret their football and baseball players take PEDs. Been happening for years since the 90s.
How can a coach that is playing on this level of football outright lie and say no punches were thrown when you can see two punches were thrown by Serra? It's one thing to say " I didn't see any punches thrown?", but to say it as a head coach I believe is wrong. Serra is a Catholic school and I believe they should play with respect for there school and respect for the CIF REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Good luck Del Oro you all have worked hard and deserve a trip to Carson! Straight to State!!
