Re: “Ridesharing also bad for drivers

Just a few things to think about if you use your own car for ride-share.

As mentioned above, your personal insurance will not cover you and your vehicle warranty will be voided.

Also, What's their phone number? Anybody know? If you have a dispute over pay or deactivation, is there anybody you can talk to? Can you imagine making a $10,000 to $50,000 investment in a business and not having anyone to call or talk to in person if a problem comes up?

Everyday you get in that car, if you are in an at fault accident you are liable for $1000 (uber) and $2500 (lyft). And that's assuming these companies come through in a timely manner on a claim. During that time you are off the road and not making a dime.

The pay changes hourly. All these rideshare companies add safe rider fees and fare splitting fees which you do not get one dime from. On a $4 minimum fare you pay almost 50% in commisioon to the rideshare company. More if the riders split the fare. Every rideshare company has dropped their fares at least 20% recently thus dropping pay by 20%.

Uber doesn't allow tips on it's ap. Lyft does

You can be deactivated anytime for any reason. They will not show you any proof, not provide the names of riders who low rated you. If you get anything lower than 80% perfect ratings, you can be deactivated. How would you like to buy a car to do this and two weeks later you are deactivated?

Do you know that all rideshare companies have serious security guards at all their offices where they have contact with drivers?

It seems to me the people making money at this are the licensed livery drivers with nice sedans or SUV's. Those people get some serious fares. Buit they too have been forced (yes forced) to accept lower fares charged by the rideshares and now they are being forced to accept non lux pax that pay fares that are half of whet they get now.

Re: “Indian casinos have different set of laws

0,000 at san pablo lytton casino and about an hour later security approached me and a gal that I was talking with and asked us to come to there office. They told me.that the gal next to me when I won is the one who is entitled to the money and that I was to give them the money back and it is to go to her. I never gave this woman Permission to touch my machine and it was my money that was put into the machine. They casino paid me the money and I sent it home with my mother and the security even drove her to her car. Now they are telling me that im not leaveing there office until I call my mother and tell her to bring the money back. Then they start questioning the other gal and she tells them that she had been barred from the casino and they still were holding me until my mother braught back the money. They said if I didnt give it back I will be arrested for tax evasion. They had me call my mother 3 times. Then when she showed up with the money they went to another room to count it, came back and said it was short 100 , I gave them another 100 , he left the room and came back again and handed me 3000. I asked what that was for and he shrugged his sholders. I tried to make a complaint of this and no one would respond to my complaints, then at a year of attemps I was banned from the casino and now I have no choice but to sue the casino, but im told that they can do as they please and im having trouble finding a lawyer that deals with indian casinos. I was robbed and held against my will until the money was returned. If your a lawyer that can help please contact me at tamisart_71@yahoo.com

Re: “STD carrier can be sued if you're infected

If the act is between a man and wife, and that wife knows that she committed adultery prior to their next intimacy, and it can be proven that she contracted and passed to husband, the husband has full right to sue not only for battery but for loss of future consortium.

Cry HAVOC! And loose the Dogs of Law! What a cluster this stadium is. The Santa Clara Golddiggers can rot for all I care. SF no longer has a team, they dumped us like a first wife. So glad this mess will be worse than Candlestick.

Sounds like Chris Dolan is putting the County of Santa Clara on notice that he intends to sue them for any injury in the stadium.

Re: “Indian casinos have different set of laws

It's humorous to reflect on the efforts of California's Liberal Legislature to authorize more casinos when you research the history of this industry in the Golden State. Liberals were opposed to casinos and lotteries. Now that they have a Super Majority in each position of power in California, I would expect our leaders to repeal these measures and close casinos, citing the huge losses by Californians who are addicted to gambling. Since it was so easy for them (Liberals) to overturn Voter Approved Measures via Federal Judges and Legislative efforts, I don't understand why these facilities continue to operate.

Re: “Indian casinos have different set of laws

to disgusted, I'd love to hear about your experiences as a tribal casino employee. for some unknown reason, folks that work in that industry are very closed lipped about the goings on in tribal casinos. Alot of rumors are out there, especially when it comes to jackpots, slot machines being manipulated, not abiding by gambling law percentage payouts, paying fines instead of paying out, etc and now some employees are talking but there doesn't seem to be a forum for this type of discussion. Can you enlighten us "common folk" on stuff that you've seen in the industry? What is your take on whether tribal casino's offer fair gaming compared to Nevada or other states that offer commercial casinos?

Re: “Ride services facing major liability questions

Uber rakes in billions of dollars for providing a screen? No it needs to provide the safety and quality of the service it claims to be doing. Tired of the zillionaire wars in this country. Honestly, it would be ridiculous not to demand uber provide coverage when all commercial drivers are required to. You may use your own car, but if you are driving others to their destination as a paid service you are a commercial driver !

Re: “A personal story of representing Jahi McMath

My name is Angela and am from USA, I want to use this opportunity to thank my great Doctor who really made my life a pleasurable one today. This great man Dr Osorba brought my husband back to me, i had two lovely kids for my husband, about four years ago i and my husband has been into one quarrel or the other until he finally left me for one lady. I felt my life was over and my kids thought they would never see their father again. I tried to be strong just for the kids but i could not control the pains that torments my heart, my heart was filled with sorrows and pains because i was really in love with my husband. Every day and night i think of him and always wish he would come back to me, until one day i met a good friend of mine that was also in a situation like me but her problem was her ex-boyfriend who she had an unwanted pregnancy for and he refused to take responsibility and dumped her. she told me that mine was a small case and that i should not worry about it at all, so i asked her what was the solution to my problems and she gave me this great man’s email address. I was doubting if this man was the solution, so i contacted this great man and he told me what to do and i deed them all, he told me to wait for just 48 hours and that my husband will come crawling on his kneels just for forgiveness so i faithfully did what this great man asked me to do and for sure after 48 hours i heard a knock on the door, in a great surprise i saw him on his kneels and i was speechless, when he saw me, all he did was crying and asking me for forgiveness, from that day, all the pains and sorrows in my heart flew away, since then i and my husband and our lovely kids are happy, that’s why i want to say a big thank you to Dr Osorba Spiritual Temple. This great man made me to understand that there is no problem on earth that has no solution so please if you know that you have this same problem or any problem that is similar, i will advise you to come straight to this great man. You can email him at: osorbaspiritualspelltemple@gmail.com you can also visit his blog on http://osorba.blog.co.uk and websites websites http://osorbaspiritualspelltemple.webs.com/

Deal with the traffic like everyone else. Bicyclists aren't entitled to ride on the sidewalk because the street's too crowded for your preferred pace/speed.
