Re: “Sacred Heart Cathedral has building blocks in talented offense

I was at the scrimmage last week and I think they'll use Ronan Murphy on offense as well. He caught some long passes from Logan White that day.

Re: “Sacred Heart Cathedral has building blocks in talented offense

Interesting Murphy will be used for Defense....He showed he can be a nice power runner when he was playing last year. I thought Peralta would use Murphy and Shepard as two towers banging thru the line. Murphy and Ismael are juniors.

Re: “Riordan looking for everyone to ride the train

I would add Isaiah Davis as he is a game changer with his ball hawking skills. These players clearly stand out, but much of the kids who play on O/D lines are very good at the HS level. Big kids with a low center of gravity and are very strong making holes for the RBs and/or LBs on D. Lineman and LBs also play rugby in the offseason that is a great complement to their strength and conditioning...Looking forward to a competitive season.

Re: “Riordan looking for everyone to ride the train

The clear best players at riordan are Ramone Sanders, Caston, Cedric, Stanton Thomas, and Aidan Verba Hamilton. The article barely mentioned any of these players, who have the top chances for a Divison 1 position. The majority of the team is counting on these players for success.

Re: “Riordan looking for everyone to ride the train

RB/LB Caston, speedy RB/ DB Sanders and WR/DB Verba-Hamilton who was moved up to Varsity for the last game of the season against Bellarmine last year. Broke out with over 100 yards receiving and led the team in tackles in that game. Probably better they didn't mention the names of these Juniors. Let the league and media sleep on these kids and the whole team itself, they'll figure it out real soon when the season starts. Riordan will have so many weapons in all areas of Offense, Defense and Special Teams for the next 2 years.

Re: “Riordan looking for everyone to ride the train

Caston has been mentioned by Coach Lee as one of a few promising players that will make their debut on varsity this season in a Prep2Prep article after the Cal Camp. Quite frankly, I thought the SF Examiner preview was poorly written...but you never know - maybe he was mentioned but it got edited out. Bottom line: Caston or any of the other juniors except Verba-Hamilton did not play Varsity last season, so not much to say until the varsity season is underway. Sheppard-Williams and Hagfeldt are Varsity returnees. Jacky Luavasa is mentioned because he's vying for the QB spot, just like Hunter Bishop will be mentioned at Serra, though both of them have not played varsity. QB is always the highlighted position, unless you are Mike Singletary. Lol!

Re: “Marshall High School cancels football season

There's a shocker. They should drop football altogether.

Re: “Riordan looking for everyone to ride the train

Caston in many circles is believed to be Riordan's best player, probably only player than can actually play D1 somewhere. To not mention him in the article is like SI not mentioning Hagfeldt or SH not mentioning Sheppard-Williams.

Re: “Marshall High School cancels football season

The AAA should just fold on a lot of sports and the schools should use the funds elsewhere such as musical, art or science departments. No sense fielding teams that get destroyed game after game. its not even promoting competition. It lowers moral to be quite honest.

Re: “Riordan looking for everyone to ride the train

That is what I meant, not the picture!! There is no mention of him anywhere in the article. They list others and that is the rhetorical question? He is not mentioned as a person to watch.

Now the young men will probably get scholarships to the college of their choice.

Really?!? Do you even know Jamarian? Throwing a kid who hasn't even played his first varsity game under the bus!?! You must feel real good about yourself.

Re: “Riordan looking for everyone to ride the train

Why is there no mention of Caston, isn't he one of the best players, or is he not a TEAM player?
