San Francisco State men’s basketball out to best start in 8 years

The San Francisco State University men’s basketball team is off to its best start since 2008, heading into their third-annual Purple Out game this Friday against Cal Poly Pomona.

Warren Jackson is leading the 6-0 Gators with 18.5 points and 4.2 assists per game. They’ll play on Comcast Hometown Network (Ch. 104 on Xfinity) as a part of doubleheader with the women’s team.

Watch for big man AJ Kahlon to continue his strong play as he averages a double-double (13.7 ppg and 11.8 rpg).

The women’s team split its games last week, beating William Jessup and losing to Fresno Pacific. Katilyn Dadalt had a solid week as she has logged three-straight games with seven or more rebounds while scoring 10 or more points in three games this year.
